Katie Lazar
Olympic National Park
Katie is a dual-degree MPP/J.D. student at Duke Sanford School of Public Policy and University of North Carolina School of Law. Previously Katie worked at the Jefferson County Public Health Department in Colorado, where she led tobacco-prevention policy development and implementation at the county and municipal level, and as an AmeriCorps member with the Community Opioid Response Program in Colorado. Katie grew up in the Detroit-metro area and holds B.A.s in Political Science and French from the University of Michigan. She enjoys running and hiking with her dog, Moose, catching up with friends on a walk with a great cup of coffee, and crocheting. Her favorite National Park is Rocky Mountain National Park (where she and her husband got married in 2022).
